Donate to stop Birthright Hutt Valley from having to close its doors.
Lower Hutt, Wellington
For more than 65 years, Birthright Hutt Valley has supported single caregiver whānau through some of life’s toughest moments. Today, that support is at risk.
Funding challenges mean services are being wound down. Without urgent help, hundreds of families could lose access to vital support.
Last year alone:
• 160 whānau received social work support.
• 450 accessed essential resources.
• 300 kai parcels were distributed.
More than half of the families supported are Māori, and all are parenting on their own.
Families tell us this support makes a real difference — helping them feel stronger, more confident, and better able to care for their children.
Your donation today may make a difference in keeping support available in the Hutt Valley.
Every gift matters.

Birthright Hutt Valley's mission is to support, strengthen and advocate for whanau led by one person. We believe the children of such families share a 'birthright' with all of the children in New Zealand: the right to reach their full potential.
If we are still forced to close, your donation will go to a Birthright New Zealand fund, to help support other Birthright afiliates facing possible closure.
