Help send Northland track chair racing champ, Jaden, to Athletics NZ Para Development Camp in Christchurch

$1,000 of $2,500 goal
Given by 21 generous donors in 4 weeks

Athletics NZ Para Development Camp will give Parafed Northland Member Jaden the opportunity to develop his track chair racing skills.

Northland

Parafed Northland Member Jaden Kauwhata has been selected to attended an Athletics NZ Para Development Camp in Christchurch from October 24th to October 26th 2020, which will provide Jaden the opportunity to develop his track chair racing skills.

Jaden had incredible success at the 2019 Halberg Games in the track chair by winning every race. This was even more incredible when you take into account that Jaden had been borrowing a track chair until two months prior to this event and that he had only just had the track chair fitted correctly the night before racing.

Jaden’s sheer determination and hard work coupled with his families support have led to Jaden being selected to attend this camp.

The Para Development Camp will not only provide the opportunity for Jaden to become nationally classified but it is also offering a dedicated track chair development session.

Jaden is the only person in Northland currently training on the track chair, so to have the opportunity to race alongside other fellow racers from around the country will be invaluable.

The costs associated with getting Jaden and his family from Kaikohe to Christchurch and back are approx. $2500 which includes flights, accommodation and the camp. Due to COVID restrictions there has been limited fundraising opportunities, so we need your help to raise as much as we can to get Jaden there.
