Please help Zoë and Pete get through this challenging time. Prayers appreciated.
Otago
Pete had a serious work place accident 15 years ago, and had his left arm partially amputated in a saw, at a joinery factory. It took Pete ten years to recover, as he suffered from PTSD, chronic pain and depression. The accident changed our lives forever, and Pete has never been quite the same.
In 2019 Pete gained his very first full time job at a vineyard, driving a tractor as a spray operator. He was absolutely over the moon. Pete loved his job, the company, and his workmates. Late in 2019 he drove down a hole on the vineyard and this resulted in severely hitting his head on the window of the tractor, and he also got whiplash. Pete had quite a few weeks off work. Then just three months ago we found Pete at home, unconscious at the bottom of the stairs at home, and having seizures.
He now has regular seizures, and the situation is stressful. Zoe has her own mobile coffee business, and is unable to go to work on many occasions as she cares for Pete. Pete is not permitted drive for one year, which means he more than likely won’t be able to go back to his job that he loves so much.
Funds raised will be used to help ease the financial burden, as Zoë is currently often absent from work, as she cares for Pete. We need help with rent, car repairs, food.
PETE IS HOME! 11 September 2020
Pete has been home now for a couple of weeks. Fragile, but improving day by day. He is taking anti seizure medication, which has taken away the awful headaches he was having. A few side effects to get through. Pete is booked for an MRI scan on Monday, and this will rule out anything structurally wrong. I will keep you updated.
