Help Support Coraline at Senso Through Her Cancer Journey
Meadowbank, Auckland
Coraline, our much-loved hairdresser at Senso Meadowbank, recently received devastating, unexpected news: she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. In just two weeks, she faces surgery, followed by a challenging 12-month journey of chemotherapy and radiation.
Those who know Coraline know her kindness, her radiant smile that lights up the salon, and her incredible talent with hair. Senso Meadowbank is more than a salon to her, it’s the dream she has poured her heart into for the past two years, carefully building a loyal clientele and a welcoming space for our community.
Coraline is also a devoted mum to four beautiful daughters, ages 3 to 14. While she focuses on her health and family, this fund will help keep her treasured salon running and provide essential support for her and her girls.
Our community is strong and caring. Let’s rally around Coraline and show her that she’s not alone. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. 💗
Coraline has not requested we do this, but has accepted the offer to do it on her behalf.
All funds will be deposited directly from Givealittle to Coraline directly.
Client & friend.
Funds to help keep the salon running, funds to help with childcare and school fees, anything she and her husband needs on one income and to keep her treasured Senso afloat.
A VERY generous and talented local! 20 October 2025
The incredibly talented Michelle McLiver has generously listed one of her beautiful original paintings on Trade Me to support Coraline’s recovery:
https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/art/nz-artists/listing/5572812224
100% of the proceeds from this auction will be donated directly to this page to help with her ongoing care and treatment.
The artwork, titled “Karekare Falls”, captures one of West Auckland’s most iconic and breathtaking waterfalls. A framed piece of this calibre from Michelle would normally retail for around $2,000, so this is a rare opportunity to own a very special piece of art while also contributing to this special cause.
I was lucky enough to see Coraline briefly last Thursday when she popped into Senso to have her hair washed and blow-waved. She hadn’t been able to wash her hair herself yet, as wasn't allowed to get the surgery area wet. So it was lovely to see her being pampered, and even though she was tired, she still had her radiant Coraline smile.
She is now at home resting and gently recovering before the next stage of her treatment begins
