Help Support Rilee Wright’s Battle with AML Leukemia
Nelson / Tasman
Ten-year-old Rilee Wright's world has been turned upside down. What started as persistent headaches quickly became something far more serious. Rilee has just been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a rare and aggressive form of cancer.
She has now had to leave her home in Nelson and travel to Christchurch Hospital to begin intensive treatment—far from the comforts of home, friends, and school. Rilee faces a long and challenging road ahead, and her whānau are doing everything they can to stay strong and support her every step of the way.
This Givealittle page has been set up to help ease the financial pressure on Rilee’s family as they navigate this heartbreaking journey—covering travel costs, loss of income, and all the little things that add up while they focus on Rilee’s care.
As you make a donation, we warmly encourage you to leave a message of support for Rilee and her whānau. Your kind words will lift their spirits and remind them that they are not alone.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. Thank you for wrapping Rilee and her whānau in love and support.

Givealittle extension 13 October 2025
Whilst Rilee is " kicking cancers Butt" We’ve decided to extend this Givealittle page to allow more time for support to come in. There has been so much kindness and generosity already and Beth, Jay, Rilee and Carter are incredibly grateful. Extending this page will allow Beth and Jay to continue providing Rilee with the care and support that she needs in Auckland and after they have returned home, whenever that may be.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or offered support — it truly means the world. 💜
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
