Please HELP us provide medical treatment, food and lodging for the sick and injured horses of the pyramids, Egypt.
Auckland
Are you a horse lover? My story is a sad one. I went to Egypt an excited tourist ready to enjoy the history of this magnificent country. But after two days staying in a hotel near the pyramids I noticed the many very sick, often starving and injured horses. I have worked on horse studs and I know horses well. It was when I observed the condition of these horses that I could not ignore their plight. I started to gather medical supplies and buy food for the hungry animals where I could. I then forgot about my holiday and I spent every minute with a few of the "better" horsemen, and built a relationship with those who were eager to learn how to treat the wounds and better care for the horses. Unfortunately, I am not wealthy and cannot fund this ongoing without YOUR HELP. I beg of you to donate even the smallest amount as a dollar goes far in Egypt, and any help you provide will be well-spent and honored for this cause.
Medical supplies for infections, horse feed, and a stable for the most destitute while in recovery. I'll purchase these items then pass them onto the horses that need them.
HUGE thanks to YOU all! 11 January 2024
Well everyone, my fund raiser is going to close next month, but I wanted to give one little shout out to a great organisation started and run by an Australian vet in Cairo, using her own money and the donations you gave along with those from other generous souls. Please follow this org and give them whatever you can, it will always 100% got to those in need and sadly there are so many :( Remember don't use animals on your vacation and hopefully, I pray that this govt sanctioned abuse at the pyramids will end one day :( Thank you all!
Thank you so much, really ... so many thanks x
