Help to give Jo more time with her precious boys

  • Aroha nui to Jo

      21 June 2023

Very sadly Jo left us last Wednesday morning, with her two boys at her side. She fought long and hard, and always with positivity and courage. Many thanks to everyone who very kindly contributed to Jo's treatment. This treatment kept Jo with us, and with her boys, for a whole year and half longer than predicted, time in which Jo created some very special memories for her boys. We farewelled Jo yesterday and it was a beautiful service that celebrated the incredible wāhine and mother that she was. Kia kaha Jo on your final adventure. We love you and will miss you, always.

How very sad. Jo was an amazing kaiako to our daughter Tallulah in year four. She had so much passion for teaching and te ao Māori. She will be greatly missed. Moenga roa Jo.

Hi there, thank you all so much for your previous donations. The un-funded chemotherapy treatment is fortunately still working but costs $5000 a month to fund so my awesome sister-in-law Kate, has set up another Give a Little Page for those of you who would like to donate.

For those of you who are able to contribute to my ongoing treatment that would be greatly appreciated.

    Aroha nui Jo

  • Jo's treatment...

      3 February 2022

To all of the amazing, wonderful, kind people who have donated towards Jo's unfunded chemo treatment a massive THANK YOU! Jo started this new treatment at the end of November and she is responding really well to the treatment and she is also feeling very positive, which is awesome. Jo has been receiving the treatment once a week for 3 consecutive weeks, with one week off following each 3 week block. Jo even had enough energy to have a wonderful weeks holiday in Nelson in mid-January with her two boys. So thank you again for your amazing generosity and kindness! Kate xx
