Please help give Tracey and her family precious time together and create great memories on their bucket list adventure together.
Auckland
After undergoing treatment for cervical cancer last year, our friend and colleague Tracey is sadly now facing a terminal diagnosis. We are keen to support her the best we can through this difficult time, and to give Tracey and her family (husband Nigel, children Alyssa and Drew) a chance to spend precious time together and create great memories while they embark on their 'fishbowl' bucket list together.
Trace is an energetic, active lady full of humour, life and positivity, and one of the strongest women we know. It was a shock last year to discover she had cervical cancer but she underwent treatment like a champ, with her usual positivity, determined to beat it, and it looked like she had. It was therefore absolutely devastating to hear last month that the cancer was back, had spread to lymph nodes and the diagnosis was terminal. Tracey is currently undergoing further aggressive chemotherapy treatment to fight it, and we are all behind her.
The Clemas family are keen to spend some great time together, ticking off some bucket list items together as a family while Trace is feeling good. Any help that you can give them to create great memories together and spend precious time as a family would be greatly appreciated.
One of the ways we are looking to raise funds is by holding a "We Are Hair For You" day on Friday 16 July. The supply chain team will be fundraising personally to support Tracey - some may be shaving, others may be going with wacky hair styles, but the theme is being 'hair' to support Tracey together.
Thank you for your help in supporting Tracey and her family x
Tracey has been a much valued member of the Global Supply Chain team at Delegat for the past few years. The entire team all want to help her and her family at this difficult time.
The funds raised will help the Clemas family achieve their bucket list together as a family. Any funds leftover will help support Tracey with any medical related expenses.
Update 18 September 2021
Hi All
Just a quick update, as this page is due to come to an end at the end of this month.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to this page β€ it is truly amazing! When we started this page we had a target and I can say you guys have more than tripled the original goal, all I can say is WOW and thanks, I have loved reading all the comments it has being an amazing ride.
Even through this page is coming to an end if you want to stay up to date with my story you can join our facebook group - it is called Tracey's Cancer Journey - we regularly update it with how treatment is going and what we have being up to (not much in level 4)
I had my first round of Keytruda a couple of weeks a go, and it was pretty uneventful, it is given via IV but only takes about 30 minutes so it was very quick, it has very few side effects for the first couple of rounds, so I came away feeling relatively normal, the most painful bit was paying the bill!!!
Anyway that is from me look forward to seeing you all on Facebook
Kia Kaha, many thanks and much Aroha
