Help us feed whanau

$280 of $10,000 goal
Given by 9 generous donors in 12 weeks

On Oct 1st a foodbank in Christchurch will charge for rescued food. We now need help to buy this food for our weekly community food boxes.

Canterbury

For more than 5 years we have provided healthy kai boxes to whanau and individuals in Christchurch with the majority of kai going to whanau with children. We do this with no funding or grants and with a great team of volunteers giving their time.

Sadly, As of October 1st we, and many other groups, will have to pay for rescued food from a local foodbank in Christchurch. We fully understand their need to ensure they are sustainable; however, we now must find $300 every week to purchase the additional food items we receive from them.

We need to raise $1200 each month to secure food for these whanau. It’s a small amount for all the kai we distribute to so many whanau but it’s a cost we can’t bear alone.

After much thought we have decide to reach out to our community by way of this give a little page.

While we are seeking sponsorship from local businesses we know there will be a shortfall. Every donation to this page, whether big or small will go to top up the short fall each month and ensure we can continue to add those extra bits and pieces such as muesli bars, crackers, cereals, and spreads which are so important for whanau.

If you are in a position to sponsor a month (a $1000 investment) then please contact us via our Facebook page. We would love to talk to you.

However, even if you are only able to give a few dollars, you will be making such a difference to families in our city and we thank you so much for your generosity.
