Help us secure a new home for the Wakatipu Toy Library — keeping play affordable, sustainable, and accessible for local families
Queenstown, Otago
Kia ora,
The Wakatipu Toy Library is a volunteer-run community space where hundreds of local families borrow toys, games, and play equipment — saving money, reducing waste, and ensuring every child has access to great play.
We now need your help.
Due to the redevelopment of the Queenstown Events Centre, we must relocate by mid-year. The good news is we’ve secured a fantastic new site in Frankton, with support from Central Lakes Trust and Community Trust South.
But we still have a $60,000 gap to close.
This will fund a new cabin, storage for 1,100+ toys, and a safe, accessible setup for families.
The Toy Library is more than toys — it supports families through the cost of living, keeps resources in circulation, and creates a space for kids to learn and connect through play.
Every donation helps build our new home, piece by piece.
This is a one-off move to secure the future of the Toy Library for years to come.
If you can, please contribute — every bit helps.
