Help Stephanie And Georgie
Kerikeri, Northland
On Monday, our beautiful Stephanie George received the heartbreaking news that she has cancer. This was completely unexpected and has left us all in shock. She has been so strong and positive, and we are incredibly grateful for the amazing doctors and nurses who acted fast to ensure she gets the best care. Over the coming weeks, we will be traveling to Auckland and Whangārei Hospital for more tests and treatment.
Then, on Tuesday, something else happened—Stephanie’s beloved dog, Georgie, had an accident and tore his cruciate ligament. He now needs urgent surgery, which will cost $3,500. The last thing we want is for Stephanie to worry about this when she needs to focus on getting well.
To help, we are organizing to raise funds for Georgie’s surgery. If you would like to donate, we would be so grateful. Every little bit helps, and together, we can take this burden off Stephanie’s shoulders.
Your kindness and support mean the world to us. Let’s rally around Stephanie and Georgie and show them they’re not alone in this fight.
With love and gratitude,
Nicola & Calvin George

Update 4 May 2025
We wanted to share an update on Stephanie’s journey. Her surgery, which was originally scheduled for last Friday, was postponed to 15 May due to an infection. The medical team has reassured us that this delay will not affect her overall health or treatment outcome. It’s important that her body is in the best possible condition before surgery, especially as the procedure involves a skin graft, and we want to minimise any risk of rejection.
While this is a little setback, we are staying positive and focusing on getting Stephanie’s infection cleared so she’s strong and ready for her surgery. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support, kind words, and generosity — it means the world to our family.
We’ll continue to keep you updated as things progress.
With gratitude
Thank you so much x
