UPDATE

Gizmo has had his surgery 04/03/2020 – he was a really good boy during the procedure and gained many admirers at the Strand Vet. So far the vet costs total $2062.87. If you can please donate whatever the amount it will be greatly appreciated - and please share Gizmo’s story - together we can help fund the cost of his much needed surgery.

Heather Street, Parnell local boy GIZMO is in desperate need of an operation to fix his tail which has been injured and untreated for some time. We have made contact with GIZMO’s caregiver who gave us permission to seek Vet advice and do what we are able to do for him.

We visited the vet 27/02 and they have given GIZMO antibiotics and pain relief. With the vet visit and the quote for the surgery estimated at $1500 - $1800 we have set up a GIVE A LITTLE page to hopefully help fund the cost. While he is under anesthetic he will undergo a dental exam as he has some tooth decay. This will help ensure he will have a long and happy life.

a H U G E T H A N K Y O U to you all  11 March 2020

Gizmo is well on the road to recovery following his operation thanks to all of you who donated. He is back wandering up and down Heather Street in Parnell receiving pats from all his admirers. This morning the sun was just too inviting so we snapped this photo of him lazing around with his new and improved tail. Thanks again for all donations and your amazing generosity - Counting down the days to his last vet visit so he can get his stitches out! Thanks also to The Strand Vets in Parnell - such a friendly and awesome team who gave Gizmo all the love and care in the world through his procedure !
