Help Willow who has Cerebal palsy get intensive therapy that will impact her life positively
Paengaroa, Bay Of Plenty
Willow is a happy bubbly 3 year old with so much life and love to give! Willow suffered a brain injury at birth and as a result has Cerebal Palsy GMFCS 3 and quadriplegic, dystonia which means all 4 limbs are affected and she has trouble controlling her muscles and movements.
Willow attended a 3 week intensive (in Rotorua) with the Centre of Movement last year who are based in Burleigh heads in Australia, and has absolutely thrives from it! She managed to achieve sitting up from laying down by herself, she started crawling indapendently which has been a game changer and given willow some form of independence, her right hand function got miles better which she never used to use and her strength. Another huge gain was her speech which went from saying one word to 2/3 word sentances which has opened up so much for her and lessened her frustration.
These intensives come at a cost which is not covered by anything! So fundraising is the only option. The results that willow got last time has been life changing and I’m hoping to keep giving her the opportunity to have a great indapendent life. Any help to get her there would he amazing! This one is on Christchurch this time and is 3 weeks with a total of 45hours of therapy willow currently gets 1/2 hours a week so you can see why it works so well.
It’s so hard to ask but I just want Willow to have the best chance at being a kid and doing things other kids can do at her age. All the support means the world
