Help Me Win Rowing Gold For New Zealand.

$6,318 of $6,318 goal
Given by 26 generous donors in 5 weeks

I’ve been selected to represent NZ at the World Junior Rowing Champs and I need your help to get there.

Waikato

My Name is Ben Kirsop and I'm proud to say that I'm a rower from Cambridge and student at Cambridge High School. Rowing is my life and I intend to take it as far as I can go.

I have just been selected to represent New Zealand stroking the Men's U19 Quad at the World Junior Rowing Champs in Rio de Janeiro in August and I need your help to get there.

I have worked hard over the last 4 years and have improved as a rower each season along the way. I have consistently made A Finals and last year I was selected for the North Island U18 Squad. This season I started winning A Finals and then Medals and to cap it off I was selected for the New Zealand Junior Team.

Proudly I'm the first ever student from Cambridge High School to be selected for a New Zealand Junior Rowing Team.

My family and school are very proud of me but we are struggling to raise the funds that are required. If you help me I promise I will work hard and do everything I can to bring back a gold medal for New Zealand as part of my crew.

The cost involved in taking part in the World Champs are as follows:

The Tour Contribution is $7,500.00 paid to Rowing New Zealand. This covers all travel, accommodation and the cost of transporting the boats etc and our uniforms (Black at last!)

As well as this, I have to pay $275.00 per week for 8 weeks to stay at the build up training camp ($2,200.00) prior to leaving for Rio and there are a few other expenses along the way.

When I'm not at school or at rowing training I work as an orchard hand. I worked long hours over the summer and have saved up to help cover some of the expenses so I'm only asking for help for the Tour Contribution itself of $7,500.00.

Thank you for looking at my page and for any support that you might give me.
