Providing the Nienow’s with assistance for the coming weeks and months as they navigate the future and grieve the love of their lives
Bay of Plenty
Our beautiful Haley was Diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer in July 2021
With the help of generous people both here on Givealittle and privately Haley was able to make great gains in reducing or removing cancer cells heading for remission was the goal.
Our gorgeous bubbly full of life, love and positivity Haley never gave up. Was never negative, never gave in and did it all with a smile. Even when she shaved her hair during chemo!
However in March things took a turn suddenly and quickly and it’s with the heaviest of heart that we now let you know that our gorgeous ray of sunshine has just days to a couple of weeks left with us.
As you can imagine these coming days and weeks for Haley, Tony, Lauren, Rhys, Millie and their families are incredibly tough both emotionally, physically and financially and we ask that for now the family have privacy while they come to terms with this, family travel from America and spend these precious moments together.
Today though we ask you to forgo even 1 of your daily coffees or treats to help us raise as much as we can to provide what is needed in these last moments, to provide the farewell that Haley deserves and to provide the finances for Tony to remain off work while they come to terms with these next few months.

I am a dear friend of Haley and Tony.
Funds will be used to provide financial support for these final weeks, funeral expenses, accommodation and travel costs for family and so Tony can take time off work to care for his family.
Funeral details for Haley 1 May 2024
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Haley, to be held at
Bethlehem Baptist Church - 90 Bethlehem Rd, Bethlehem, Tauranga, on Thursday 2nd May 2024 at 1.30pm. (For those not based in NZ please remember to calculate what day/time that will be for you, ie America will be May 1st and your local time zone)
There will be a short reception on-site immediately following the service.
The service will be live streamed and the link will be added to this post when it becomes available so please remember to check back here.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Waipuna Hospice in Haley’s name. The love, care and attention they provided not only to Haley but to the entire family during this time was outstanding and without donations this couldn’t be possible for people in need.
