Kerry’s battling stage 4 advanced cancer. Please help ease her worries by donating—no amount is too small or too big. Every bit counts.
Christchurch, Canterbury
Kerry has been a passionate and dedicated volunteer at Canterbury Car Club for over six years. She’s the kind of person who gives her time freely and brings energy and kindness wherever she goes.
Sadly, Kerry has recently received a devastating diagnosis: stage 4 aggressive and advanced cancer.
By the time it was found, her kidneys were close to failing. A nephrostomy tube was inserted to help restore function. On top of that, a blood clot in her groin now requires daily injections to reduce further risk.
Kerry begins an intense course of weekly chemotherapy to fight the cancer. To make matters harder, she had to have all her teeth removed due to infection risk. She’ll also lose her hair, and we’d love to help her afford a proper wig—something to help her feel more like herself during this time.
Due to the pain and severity of her condition, Leaving the house has become a struggle—physically and emotionally.
One of the hardest parts has been stepping away from volunteering at Canterbury Car Club. Being at the track was more than a pastime—it was her passion and happy place. Giving that up has been heartbreaking.
This is an incredibly tough time, and the financial burden is heavy. We want to ease some of that pressure so she can focus on healing.
This Givealittle page will help cover Kerry’s living costs and support her in getting a wig and dentures—bringing comfort, dignity, and strength through treatment.
Every little bit helps. Thank you for standing with Kerry.
I met Kerry at the track, and we’ve since become very close friends. I’m here to support her through this challenging time.

Kerry's Journey So Far 22 May 2025
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update on how Kerry is doing and thank you all for the incredible support you’ve shown.
On May 2nd, Kerry had all her teeth removed in preparation for treatment. Just a few days later, on May 7th, she began her first round of chemo. Unfortunately, she had a frightening reaction shortly after it started, and treatment had to be paused. Doctors administered four different medications to prevent another reaction, and thankfully, chemo was able to resume about an hour later.
Yesterday, May 21st, Kerry completed her third chemo infusion. She’s handling everything with amazing strength and positivity, taking each day as it comes.
It’s now been three months since Kerry had her nephrostomy bag inserted. On May 19th, she had an appointment to check her kidney function. Sadly, her kidneys still aren’t strong enough to function on their own, so a new tube has been inserted for another 12 weeks.
Despite all of this, Kerry remains incredibly positive. She wants to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the page, or sent kind messages — your support has meant the world.
It’s still early days, so it’s too soon to say how treatment is progressing. But the funds raised so far are helping ease financial stress, allowing Kerry to focus fully on her recovery.
We’ll continue to share updates as we can. In the meantime, please keep sharing — every little bit truly helps.
With gratitude,
Team Kerry
