Helping our Animals in Samoa

"PROTECTING PACIFIC PETS IN SAMOA" ... you always wanted to do something about it, what is being done and how can you help?

Auckland

"I know you have been wanting to DO SOMETHING for the animals in Samoa or in your village".

Many have expressed their concerns about the "stray DOGS wondering the streets" or the "constant cycle of animal population".... with a desire to HELP.

There is an URGENT NEED to address the welfare of the animals that share this paradise with us.

What is being done?

Our 1x Vet Clinic (APS Samoa), together with overseas Vet Volunteers, work tirelessly to improve the lives of animals in Samoa hosting outreach programs to different villages on both Upolu and Savaii, treating and desexing our animals for FREE. We cannot be more thankful for their efforts and care.

..... in the meantime....

Our animals continue to POPULATE while waiting for the desexing program or suffer from neglect, malnutrition and proper medical care, not to mention any emergency treatments. Those who love their animals, simply lack the funds to treat them or have no transportation to get their animals to the clinic (there is no clinic on Savaii).

What can YOU do?

Your funding can help REDUCE the cycle of overpopulation. DESEXING is so important and expensive!!! There is NOT enough homes to house all the puppies that are born, so are left to fend for themselves. Also, your support can help our animals with medical treatment and care. With your support, more Pacific animals can be protected.

Use of funds

Donations will used for desexing dogs & cats and providing proper medical care.

Poor Mumma  1 December 2025

I got a pic sent to me from one of our guests who was visiting Samoa for work. This poor girl was skin & bone with a broken front leg. When I went to inspect, it was not good. Her eyes pleaded to do something. I called APS, but they said there was nothing they could do, so it was a sad day for her. We don't have the resources to nurse a very sick one back to health. We need a shelter or foster homes, but that is difficult here. But at least she is not suffering now.

Talofa Nicolina. Thank you for donating towards the animals in Samoa. There is a constant need to desex as many female dogs as we can to keep the population down. Hoping to start soon once they have given birth. Much appreciation.

Hi Reda thank you so much for your donation again. The locals are so happy they can have their animals treated. Some family are looking after 9x dogs, so it is a struggle for them to provide good care for their loved pets. Much appreciated.
