To help cover living/ overall and ongoing costs for our family.

Taranaki

My name is Matt Ramsay, I live with my partner and our two beautiful children aged 5 and 1, We are from Taranaki.

I have worked as a painter for the last 4 years but with my current employer for only 3 months and have thoroughly enjoyed been a family man. Before that I worked at MCK Aluminum for 7years.

I have recently been off work for 3 weeks.

Since I have made this page, I have been diagnosed with Vascilitis along with Pyoderma Gangrenosum and Glyoclobulin. I have had alot of antibiotics aswell as 2 doses of chemo yet my wounds are getting worse. I have now decided to seek alternative medicines, starting with hyper barric oxygen treatment. The oxygen treatment and alternatives are not funded through the hospital and that is why I am re-opening my page. The doctors have told me there is no other treatment they can help me with and everything is 50/50, that is why i am doing this... using my will to survive.

Just staying positive and hoping it wont get dragged out too long.

thanks to all that have read my story.

Use of funds

funds will be used for Dermatoligist costs , everday living

Hi everyone just a little update on whats been going on. I turned down the chemo they broought up from Christchurch, after reading alot about it, turned out to be more worse then better as one main effect it had was stopping wounds from healing and I have just started healing :) so I have put most of my original weight back on and I am on a plant-based wholefood vegan diet and juicing/smoothies for detoxing everything in me... seems to be working very effectively as most of my wounds are scars now barr my foot/toes wound which is still healing and up my nose which is still ongoing appointments. Has also been amazing being home spending time with my wife and kids. once i can get my foot in a boot ill be ready to go back to work. I'd like to sincerely thank everyone who has read my page the support has been overwhelming, nice to know there are still compassionate people in the world.

Much love to you all.

Hey Matthew, Sorry that you have not only had to go through such an intense illness but also unfortunately not been properly diagnosed. I really hope you will be well soon! I know it must be hard but please try and retain some faith in medical professionals, they don't know everything but they dedicate their working lives to trying to learn as much as possible to heal illness. You have had a major misfortune with this illness being seemingly very hard to diagnose. I hope there is a doctor out there who can gain your trust and work with you to help you be fully healthy again. Best wishes
