Hibburt Park Renovations
Raising funds for the upgrade of Hibburt Park to provide an affordable camping experience for schools, youth groups and community groups.

Camping and being in the outdoors is part of New Zealand's DNA! Yet it is an experience that is becoming harder to access for the rangatahi (young people) of Aotearoa as the cost of camp venues rise. We are passionate about providing an affordable solution to schools, youth groups and community groups to get away from the 'daily grind', build relationships with their peers, build confidence in themselves and have some good old fashion fun in the outdoors!
Hibburt Park is a sweet wee spot on the outskirts of Christchurch, with Spencer Park Beach, Adrenalin Forest and Bottle Lake Forest all on our doorstep.
We have some great facilities, that just need to be brought into the 21st century and we’re looking for funding so that we can give the site the aroha and mahi it deserves – making Hibburt Park an affordable AND desirable venue!

Use of funds
The completion of our toilet/shower block upgrade and the completion of our new outdoor kitchen. Any remaining funds will go towards updating fire and access requirements in our main hall.

Hi everyone!
It's been a week since our Givealittle campaign closed - and we've realised we never sent out a final update! From the generous donations given through Givealittle and directly to our bank account, we have raised $23,855!
That's a bit over $1000 a day for everyday of our campaign. What a massive effort, all thanks to you! Generous, kind people who believe in investing in young people and giving them opportunities and experiences in the outdoors! We are absolutely stoked with the support people have given to Hibburt Park and we can't wait to get those projects finished off so we can open our gates to more groups!
While we didn't reach our full target, this is still a huge chunk of money we didn't have before and we don't have to find elsewhere. In saying that we are confident we will find that extra $26k so your donations go the distance and get the job done!
Thank you almost doesn't seem to cut it, but THANK YOU! We are so grateful and so humbled that people believe in our vision for Hibburt Park and are willing to back it with their own money - especially in times such as these.
