The High Holidays Appeal will fund Rabbinic support to help us grow as a community.
Auckland
This year, our High Holy Days Annual Appeal focuses on funding longer term Rabbinic support and we are asking you to contribute if you are able to do so.
This is the time of year when we, as a community, have always dug deep to support some really important projects for Beth Shalom. From endowments to renovations and everything in between, the generosity of our Beth Shalom family has enabled us to strive for great things above and beyond providing a welcome space to gather, learn and enjoy being together.
This year, the focus is on the Rabbinic Fund. Your support will allow us to keep Rabbi Dean Shapiro as our Rabbi at Beth Shalom for a longer term. I know we all agree that we are blessed to have his wisdom, guidance and teaching as we grapple with fundamental questions that impact the future of our community. Our community thrives when we have a Rabbi. There's more to learn, share and experience together. Rabbi Dean leads services with heart and creativity. He visits our seniors with love, and greets our children with open arms. He leads funerals with tenderness, and helps our Board make sound decisions. We know our community needs an ongoing rabbinic presence, something we can only achieve with your financial support.
Please support this initiative as we head into the new year; having a Rabbi for the long-term will better meet the hopes and aspirations of the Beth Shalom community.
Shana Tovah.
