Communicating the climate.crisis through art, bringing kids together to express their ideas and emotions around climate change.

Nelson

There’s no denying it. Kids are worried. They’re angry. They’re frustrated at the lack of progress and leadership when it comes to the issue of climate change. We feel it too. The How Dare You! Arts Expo+ Is giving kids the chance to express their emotions, their ideas and their demands through a myriad of artistic mediums. Hosted by The Nelson Tasman Climate Forum, this event is so much more than an arts expo. It is an opportunity to reach out to the youth of this region and let them know that there is a home for them in The Forum. There is a place where they can connect with like minded and proactive people who will listen to their concerns. We at the Forum can act as a bridge between them and the adult world of politics, submissions and campaigns. We can advocate for them, empower them and equip them with the tools and knowledge they will need to tackle this complex problem. They in turn can bring their energy, their enthusiasm and their innovation to our organisation. and and Their ideas for action and innovation will be supported and their voices will be heard.
