We are still waiting for confirmation non notifiable resource consent has been approved to fell 443 trees at our Local Mountain.

The narrative has broadened, it now appears the Local Sporting Clubs may be in danger of surviving.

Peppercorn rental has been replaced with Market rental prices. We have already lost one Rugby League Field at the park. This has been half planted out with native grasses and flax. According to spokesman Nicholas Turoa who works for Tupuna Maunga Authority, the field is not fit for purpose as it is sinking. I showed Nicholas the geo technical report which states there is nothing wrong with the field, it just requires maintenance work.

It appears the League Club must relinquish their Liquor License in order to renew their lease. This is probably their main source of income to ensure the clubs survival.

If the club closes, my question is, where will our children go to play a sport they love?
