Favona Islamic Centre (FIC) Fundraising

STAGE 1 - RENTAL PROPERTY – OPERATING FROM 2016

Through generous support from one family, currently FIC is operating in a rented property at 5A Robertson Road, Favona for the last 5 years. We are currently having 5 times salaat, Jummah & Taraweeh prayers, and Qur’an & hifz classes. Now due to an increasing number of Muslims in Favona area, it is difficult to cater for their needs. Hence, the need to move to a larger premises is self-evident.

STAGE 2 – PROPERTY SECURED AT 91 FAVONA ROAD, FAVONA/MANGERE

Area: 840sqm. Purchase Price: $1,120,500.

10% deposit paid. Full Payment by 3 Dec 2021

The FIC will, inshaallah, soon move to its new location while effort to pay it off will continue.

STAGE 3 – PROPOSED NEW ISLAMIC HUB

Due to the increasing population in Favona/Mangere Areas, the Vision is to have an Islamic Hub through the Mission - of Dawah, Ibadah, Knowledge and Khidmah to both Muslims and wider community. Therefore, the future plan is to build a MASJID and/or an Islamic Centre subject to council consent and approval. The proposed Islamic hub may have facilities such as:

- Prayer Hall, Classrooms for Education,

- Wet Area and Kitchen facilities and Dawah/other needs facilities.

- Parking spaces
