Inky’s Journey: From the Streets to Safety — Now She Needs a Little Help

Inky’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was rescued from the streets alongside her sister, Blinky, when they were just a few weeks old. Both were tiny, sick, and malnourished — but we were hopeful. Sadly, despite every effort, Blinky passed away from pneumonia. It was heartbreaking and traumatic, and we promised ourselves that we’d do everything we could to make sure Inky didn’t suffer the same fate.

Since then, Inky has been closely monitored and loved through her recovery. But now, she needs urgent vet care. Tests, treatments, and a hospital stay have quickly added up, and her vet bill has reached $1,400 — a cost we simply can’t cover alone.

We’re a small, volunteer-led group of women in and around Milldale working to reduce the feral cat population. With no formal rescue in the area, we’re doing what we can — trapping, desexing, feeding, fostering, and rehoming. It’s a big job, but our hearts are in it. Every kitten like Inky deserves a chance.
