Please help our Beau the Goat with her dog attack injuries

please help Beau overcome this traumatic event!

Waikato

Out on our daily walk in the karangahake gorge , my poor beau was brutually attacked whilst on her lead. The dog chased her and ripped her ear off along with biting her neck and snout multiple times!

Unfortunately the dogs owner was very nonchalant about the event and is still yet to come forward. He did not help me seperate his dog from beau and I am left with a horribly traumatised pet goat and a painfully injured one at that.

Her first procedure at Paeroa vets was $304 unfortunately they have sewn her ear back together to try save it but it is dead and limp so will need to be removed. IF the ear is saved , we will still have further vet costs for her antibiotics, stitches removal and aftercare, however if the ear is dead, she will need it removed in 5 days. I have just started a new job after being impacted by covid 19 and can not afford to pay the initial costs. We used 100% of what was left in my account to pay and still have a long road ahead. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help cover the costs that are still to come.

Thanks mum !  19 August 2020

So guys my mum Catherine has stepped in to save the day! Ensuring beau receives her donations my mum has kindly verified herself and become the payee.yiu might see a few name changes on the pages as She will now be listed as the donor. !

Thanks again to all the support we have received ! Beau can’t wait for her snag proof house! And has been so grateful for her vet visits, although we’re totally aware she hates the vets! she had her second lot of stitches out Monday and the vets have concluded that when she rips or tears her ear again (it’s become inevitable) we will be removing the damaged section up to about 3cm away from the base! She will be a mini ear wearing beauty hehe
