This page is to help raise funds for Kane's Dreams
Canterbury
On 14th August 2018, Kane was diagnosed having cancer, however the oncologist didn't know what type of cancer, how far the cancer spread in his body. One thing they can tell us, the cancer Kane has was the kind of cancer that quite aggressive as it can double the size in 48 hours. He got his first chemo treatment and biopsy the next day on 15th August 2018.
16th August 2018, the oncologist advise us that the cancer Kane has is "stage 3 Burkitt Lymphoma" . The good news on that day were the tumor only found around abdominal area and Prognosis is 90 percent.
Kane have to undergo the chemo treatment for 6 months (with no delay due to side effect). It means that he will need to skip nearly 2 terms on his last year of primary school. No soccer until cancer free and he is fit.
Once the chemo treatment done, it will takes sometimes for him to be back on track again.
Being on the chemo treatment is not a pleasant experience. Within 7 weeks he has 5 surgery in total. Once, the side effect of his chemo hit him badly. He has to be in isolation for 2 weeks at CHOC Christchurch Hospital
Kane is turning 11 on 29 October 2018. He love and played soccer for the last 2 years. The short amount of time already made him deeply fall in love in soccer. He said he want to be a professional soccer player when he grow up. His favorite soccer club is Barcelona and Messi is his favorite player.
The journey we are going through is like a roller coaster ride, ups and downs but we have to go with it.
This fundraiser is to help us make Kane's wish come true as a soccer lover.
GOD Bless Everyone
Kane's mother and Father, would like to make his wish come true as he love soccer very much
The main goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough money for Kane to fulfill his dream of going to Barcelona,Spain. There he wants to visit the stadium of his favorite football club, and if all goes well, maybe he can meet his favorite player!
