Kat , Glenn and boys need your support during this difficult time after Kat received a major Head injury
Otago
Kat was in a freak accident on Friday the 15th of February when she was hit in the side of her head with a big metal pole , which knocked her to the ground fracturing her skull and major Trauma to the other side. She was helicoptered to Dunedin hospital in a coma , 5 days on now conscious though still in the ICU . Going forward the outlook at this stage looks good but the journey ahead will require mega support , Kat and Glenn have two wee boys at home 3 and 5 , they are going to need support when Kat comes home .Due to Glenn's self employed business commitments, it will be difficult for him to decline employment opportunitys' and continue to provide for the household . So any donations made will assist with the running of the household ,day to day living and to help Kat and her sons with the extra assistance that will be required when she returns home.
Kat and Glenn are very close friends, I want to help them so they can look after each other and not worry about money in the process.
The use of the funds will be to help with the daily bills we all have in our life as Kat and Glenn are unable to work , travel costs , food and accommodation well they are in Dunedin - 3 hours away from there home and family .
Home sweet home 14 March 2019
Words from the woman herself,
One month tomorrow and guess who made it home to her boys!! I may not look so happy but the nerves will hopefully heal soon and I'll be smiling along side my boys soon. Thank you to everyone who has supported the boys and I through this horrible journey, because of you we have made it. We actually have no words at how amazing our community is. So much food and love, visits, helping with the boys, cuddles and something as simple as a little message has been what's kept us getting through.
Time for me to rest up and let the healing happen....with lots of clinic trips to Dunedin (apparently the way of travel now is by wheels not flying)
