Fraser is thrilled to have been selected to represent the Roslyn Wakari Football Club (Soccer) in the 11th Grade Development Squad at an upcoming South Island Soccer Tournament in Nelson, New Zealand! To help cover the costs of this exciting opportunity he's fundraising and would love your support. This is a fun step in his soccer journey, and he's excited to hit the field with his team and give it his all!

To help raise funds, Fraser is taking on a 10km race. This is just the beginning, with more fundraising activities planned over the next two months as he works hard getting ready to represent the Roslyn Wakari U11 squad in Nelson.

During the competition, Fraser will proudly wear a training top with all his amazing sponsors' named on the back, thanking them for helping with this awesome opportunity!

A Win for Perseverance and Character  24 September 2025

Fraser's soccer tournament wrapped up today, and what a fantastic effort from the whole team. Huge thanks to everyone who supported Fraser with this opportunity. Despite being under the weather with what may likely be flu (again!), he played his heart — and lungs — out, leaving absolutely nothing in the tank. Relentlessly chasing down strong right-hand strikers, he stuck with them, tied them up, and helped slow the game when his teammates needed time to regroup.

It was a tough three days — one win, one draw, and five losses — with the team battling through illness, injuries, and testing conditions. Yet they stayed positive and focused throughout, regardless of the scorelines or the less-than-sportsmanlike behaviour from some opposing teams. Up against much larger and better-resourced South Island clubs, our boys held their own with grit, determination, and a team spirit that made us beam with pride.

Watching them improve, support one another, and grow stronger as a unit was a real joy. We’ll 110% take our team’s relentlessly positive, fair-play approach to the game over the win-at-all-costs mentality — handballs, shoves, trip-ups and all — that we saw far too often from the opposing sides.

Well done, Fraser — you were truly awesome.
