Help fund life saving treatment for Tere

We received the challenging news this week that mum has a very rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that has spread to the right lung, causing a complete collapse of the upper lobe. The only option available to treat this is through privately funded drugs (Atezolizumab and Nab Paclitaxel), as it is unavailable through the public health system. Mum requires 10 rounds of treatment with an approximate cost of $8,000 - $9,000 each time, totalling up to $90,000. Treatment is scheduled in three week blocks for 10 sessions, with doses given twice in each first week. Mum needs this treatment to tackle this cancer and give her the best chance at beating this.
Tere Bissell is the wife of Steve and mum to Hamish and myself (Natalya). Mum battled breast cancer last year and was cleared after undergoing two rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. Barely three months after finishing treatment, mum began showing symptoms and became noticeably unwell. As a result, this effected her ability to work and serve the community through her love of sport.
As a family, we recognise the importance of doing this together and fighting as a team. We ask for your prayers and financial support for mum to receive this treatment. Each prayer and donation, no matter how big or small, will significantly contribute to mums healing. The funds raised will go towards treatment and the prayers towards mums miracle.

Tere Bissell is the amazing mum and best friend to myself and Hamish, and grandma to be. Mum has a heart for others and has remained faithful and strong throughout treatment. She continuously impacts many people, blessing and giving in any way she can.
Use of funds
All money received will go towards funding the expensive immunotherapy (Atezolizumab and Nab Paclitaxel) and chemotherapy costs to give mum the best fighting chance. This 10 coarse treatment isn’t funded and has to be paid for privately.

Hi Everyone
Firstly we would like to thank you all for your generosity and financial support in the hope of seeing Mum recover.
As most are aware, Mum passed away suddenly yet peacefully on the 8th of January with Dad by her side. Mum had completed three full rounds of treatment and was meant to begin round four on the day she passed. The day before Mum passed, we learned as a family treatment was not working as shown in a recent CT scan taken only a few days prior. We were then meant to have a meeting with Mums doctor on Monday to discuss further options.
As a family, it is important for us to be completely transparent with the hundreds of people who have supported Mum and donated financially. Three rounds of treatment have been paid for in full, however the give a little money is no longer required to cover treatment costs.
Currently, the remaining funds have only been used to cover funeral costs and will be further used for family expenses. Furthermore, we have had discussions internally around creating a foundation or trust in Mums name, to help others who may find themselves in a similar situation.
To this end, it is our intention to use some of the remaining funds as seed money which will go towards getting a foundation or trust established. By doing this, we hope to honour Mums legacy and do you all proud.
