Support Isabelle in raising funds through donating her hair for non funded cancer treatment.
Manawatu / Whanganui
Isabelle is 10 and has been growing her hair for a few years now with the intention to donate it to the Cancer Society for wigs for those that have been effected by cancer treatment.
Like many, as a family we have had people we love, both family and friends effected by cancer. Isabelle has seen what treatment can do and the effects physically, mentally and emotionally this awful disease can take on not only the person, but their family and village.
Recently we found out a beautiful friend Tere received the challenging news that she has a very rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that has spread to the right lung, causing a complete collapse of the upper lobe. The only option available to treat this is through privately funded drugs (Atezolizumab and Nab Paclitaxel), totaling up to $90,000.
She is a wife, mother and soon to be grand mother. She battled breast cancer last year and was cleared after undergoing two rounds of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. Through this, she ahs continued to serve her community and be there for those that need love, food, beds, time, or prayers.
Isabelle would like to donate financially to her treatment through donations and sponsorship of her haircut on the 18 November 2023. Each prayer and donation, no matter how big or small, will significantly contribute to her goal. The funds raised will go to the family for treatment and associated expenses incurred. Isabelle's hair will go to Freedom Hair for wigs.
Thank you for the love and support!
We have been blessed to have this wonderful family in our lives through school, sports and church. No matter what challenges they may be dealing with, they always have time, love, food or a bed for anyone in need. Its their time now.
Thank you so much Aunty Pam and Uncle Ray xx
