Help kids understand they are unique, stand up against bullying & make a life-long dream come true amidst a tough time!

According to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand "Aotearoa has the third highest rate of school bullying out of 36 OECD countries, and those who are bullied are far more likely to experience mental health issues like depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts".
The Ministry of Education published a paper called "What do we know about bullying behaviours in New Zealand" at https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:AP:131a4934-b925-4f15-8ffc-6d9456356381
According to this paper "being made fun of is the most prevalent form of bullying, followed by being left out of things on purpose".
I've written a children's book, inspired by my blind Chihuahua - Buddy, to let kids know that being different makes you unique, to stand strong against bullying and live the life they are meant to. As I was bullied as a child myself, my life's dream is to make a difference in someone's life.
BUDDY IS A LITTLE BLIND CHI-WOW-WOW WHO LOVES LIFE, WANTING TO MOTIVATE &INSPIRE WITH HIS ANTICS AND STORY: I am different, yes I am - mum says special is the word. I was born without eyes and that is how I face the world. Don't feel sad, it's not that bad. Enjoy and appreciate life every day. I am Little Blind Buddy Boo and it's nice to meet you!
We have saved up for this project, but had to use the funds as hubby's place of work got liquidated, he had spinal surgery & is now unable to work for a while too. Please help us get through a tough time, but also potentially save lives & make a dream come true!
Use of funds
Illustrating and publishing my & Buddy's children's book (at least $7000 in total to get this done). Additional funds will be put aside for more copies to be printed, the second book to be started, and potentially assist with some health and living costs.

Hi everyone. We have collected and saved up enough money to pay for the illustrations for our book. Now we'll start saving for publishing. Although we are financially still struggling, we are going to close the page as it is really hard for us to ask others for money. Thank you all so much for your help, assistance and donations.
