Little dog who was attacked needs help to recover

Our wee dogs were attacked on 11/10/2023 as they were out walking with my wife, by an American Bull dog, who escaped out passed a kid who opened the front gate to get in and the dog ran across the road.

This is my parent's wee dog and they are passed now. Rere is a Bichon and this dog had his stomach in her mouth, shaking him. His stomach was described by the vet as being minced up. Luckily his main organs weren't pierced but he has a temperature now and it could get septic. So far we have paid over $4500 and it's rising. My wife was hurt by the jarring and fell over too, while trying to save our dogs. She has a sprained back now and is off work. We are stressed out ATM.

They were minding their own business and were attacked out of the blue!. The owner came over that night and was distressed too, offered some money and will contribute more, but alas is a single parent.

Our wee girl escaped her attack with stomach grazing and a couple of wounds. She, Salli, is nervous and scare, cowering behind the couch lots, especially with loud noises and hasn't been out walking yet.

Please support Rere (Rererangi) and us as much as I hate to ask people, but we could still lose him yet.

I work part-time and my wife does too and is on a pension, we are not loaded. Thanks in advance for our wee man. He's 11years old by the way. Nga mihi Aroha.
