Little Isla

We are currently up in Starship hospital where Isla underwent open heart surgery at just 6 weeks old.

Canterbury

Little Isla is only 12 weeks old but came 7 weeks early. Isla has never left hospital.

At just 6 weeks old one week before her due date she went in for open heart surgery to repair the three holes in her wee heart

The surgery was a success but the recovery is and will be slow as she gets wet lungs making it a lot harder for her to breathe and using a lot more energy.

We need to get wee Isla gaining and able to keep weight on and that can't be done in Christchurch just yet and even then we don't know if they will be able to accomodate us as Isla is still on breathing support (bubble cpap)

Our wee family is a very long way from home and we also have another wee daughter call Mia who is three. We were up here earlier this year for her surgery which wasn't as serious as wee Islas

With Hayden and I not at home we are starting to struggle with income. We don't usually do this we are usually the ones who donate and help others and asking for help is extremely tough.

Any donation you could give we would be entirely greatful for or even if you can just share this around.

All we want is to go home but right now Auckland starship hospital is where we need to be to be there for our wee girl

Isla is to have another surgery this one is a lot more risky but she's our fighter xx
