Lola's Journey to Recovery
Support Holly & Gihan through Lola's surgery & chemotherapy so they can focus on her recovery and spending time together as a family

Lola is the almost 2-year-old daughter of my very dear friends Holly & Gihan. Recently relocating to the UK for one year for a career opportunity, they have just been given the devastating news that Lola has a tumour in her pelvis. In the coming weeks and months they have a tremendous battle ahead with 4-6 months of chemotherapy and major surgery for Lola. Holly is also 33 weeks pregnant with their second baby so they will very soon have another wee person to share their time with.
Holly & Gihan have their home in New Zealand and a huge family of friends here as well as around the world. We can’t all be in the UK physically to help out, so I’ve started this page as hopefully a gesture of support and to enable them to be there for Lola in any way possible.

Holly is my best friend and I have known both her and Gihan since they first met working at Waikato Hospital in 2011.
Use of funds
In place of the ability to provide meals and general help to Holly & Gihan this is our gift.

The best Christmas gift- now and forever 23 December 2022
Our prayers have been answered and Christmas miracles really do come true- Lola has made a full recovery from her operation and been declared ‘cancer free’.
It’s been a challenging 7 months. After 127hrs of chemo, 7 transfusion, and many many clinic appointments, and a major operation, she just kept going with absolute grit and determination. Lola is a force to be reconned with and we are truly truly blessed to have gone through all these hurdles with success. We have our little girl back. X
