Romel Onganiza is a builder living in NZ a little less than 2 years. He has 3 children and a wife who are still living back home. I came to know Romel when we were renovating our community center. He helped us tirelessly and often he offers his time to help us in the community. Now Romel is the one needing our help.
Two weeks ago, his mother passed away during COVID lockdown in the Philippines. Due to travel restrictions, he was unable to bid his mother goodbye. Understandably, his grieving is a lot harder not being able to see his mother even for the last time.
Two nights ago, he received another tragic news. His house was part of the 800 houses that were gutted down to the ground on a huge fire. This is unsettling because he hasn't even come to the terms of losing his mother and now his family home. He wasn't there to secure his young family and because his wife was alone with the children, she was unable to save any of their belongings.
Now I am appealing to your good hearts if you could spare some generosities towards Romel's family to re-start rebuilding his home and his family. Presently, his wife and his children are only living in an evacuation center.
I am very grateful if we could help Romel and his family during this troubling time.
I am a community leader and a Trustee of a charitable trust. Romel Onganisa came to us for help because his house burnt down and his family had nothing left. He is also unable to go back home due to travel restrictions.
To buy some materials to rebuild the house. To buy clothing and other immediate necessities for the family.
