Covid calamity is getting worse due to lack of Oxygen for patients in India. Please donate for sending oxygen - stop unnecessary deaths.
International
Target 7-10 at estimated cost of $NZ 1,000 - $NZ1,500 each - aim $10,000 to be collected by 23rd May.
Currently collected approximately $NZ 5,100. (Through some fundraising, and with the support of friends)
My name is Ambresh Kapoor.
I live in Wellington, New Zealand and have done so since 1995, I am married with three children.
My father died one year ago in India. He received oxygen as required and had a dignified cremation.
I can not help think what it would have been like for him if the timing was now. The pictures I see on the media haunt me and I want to do something hence this small step. Please help me do this. Even if we were able to save one life by this humble initiative it will be worth the effort.
As you know in April 2021 India has had a upward spiral of deaths surpassing USA daily death rate at its peak to approximately 3000 deaths per day (statistical graphs attached which are self explanatory). Some are dying because they do not have access to oxygen at the right stage of treatment, our basic human right!
Many deaths occurring in rural India may be going undetected. Majority of Indian populous in India live in what is considered rural India. So the real numbers are most likely to be higher and staggering. There is no denying it! Time is of essence.
The situation on the ground is evolving by the day and very dynamic. Although reported cases have started coming down, there is no guarantee that infections and suffering will cease soon.
I am procuring the machines locally along with PPE kits to supplement relief efforts, and to keep my people administering, safe.
If you wish to be part of this project and wish to donate. Please click on the link below, it will take you through to the donations page.
Any contribution will go towards saving one life. The reality is many many more could be saved by this small initiative, given we will have Oxygen Concentrators administered to those in need.
The government, other agencies and those on the ground are doing their best, with resources at their disposal, but all the help is needed because the scale of the problem is just getting out of hand and all data indicate, will continue to do so for some time.
We are working with people I personally know in Delhi and other parts in India, to ensure this reaches those it is aimed for. ...Your hand in help is needed!
Your donations will procure Concentrator Machines, PPE Gear and related equipment. This will be deployed by my contacts, in their immediate vicinity to help the needy. These will be in City and Rural location. Our aim, to help stop sick getting sicker due to lack of access to oxygen. Save life.
Oxygen Concentrators will be bought from AliExpress China and delivered directly to the people I know and trust in Delhi. They will then deliver them to the people they know will benefit from it in their vicinity. Initially I am looking a the East and South of Delhi.
Doing nothing is not an option. 24 May 2021
My heartfelt thanks to Friends, Friends of Friends and Anonymous donors, who taught me a thing or two about generosity.
When I started this campaign I did not know how much I would achieve. What the costs going to be or the process. Fair to say I have learned a lot. From here we are continuing to procure the equipment and protective gear for serving in the relief efforts as mentioned in earlier updates.
The collections have been lesser than the target, and once Givealittle takes their 5% out, it will be even less. However, it has given us sufficient to procure the minimum we needed to procure and enable the relief efforts.
Some of you have indicated to continue your support given this shortfall, for which I am thankful. Please contact me.
As parting note, I say that, we all have have to chip-in towards a cause that resonates with our conscience. Doing nothing is not an option.
