Funding for Michelle's life care

Bay of Plenty

Michelle is a 54yo mother of two and has been married for 29 years. She has three grandchildren. She has always been a very hard worker all of her life as well as being a loving mother and wife. Prior to November 2023 she had been repeatly going back and forth to her GP with lower back pain for almost two years, so they finally decided to do a MRI, she was then told she has Cancer on her lower spine.

From there they needed to find the source of the Cancer, which was lung cancer (Adenocarcinoma) which is a very rare form with only 1% of lung cancer patients having. So rare even her Oncologist hadn't dealt with it.

Long story short it is right through her lungs and spread to her bones. Unfortunately about 6 weeks ago she was told it has now spread to her cerebral fluid (brain and spinal fluid). Now her best chance of fighting this for as long as she can and to try and give her any quility of life is to recieve the Cancer wonder drug (Osimertinib) which is non funded and about $10000.00 per month making it not possible for family to fund alone.

Her husband has stopped work to care for her, sold his work ute and put their house on the market just to make ends meet, let alone fund the drug.

They would very much appreciate any kind of donation as every little bit counts and her family would like her around as long as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this and they would appreciate whatever you can spare..............
