Help Mike on His Road to Recovery
Our dear friend Mike has always been the first to lend a hand whenever we needed it. Whether it was a shoulder to lean on, a helping hand in tough times, or simply being there when it mattered most, Mike has always been our rock. Now, Mike needs our support more than ever.
Recently, Mike experienced a serious accident following a medical emergency, and he’s currently in Christchurch Hospital. His road to recovery is going to be long and challenging, and unfortunately, it means he won’t be able to return to work for several months. This situation has placed an immense financial strain on Mike and his family during an already difficult time.
We want to rally together to help ease this burden so that Mike and his family can focus on what truly matters—spending quality time together and supporting Mike as he begins his journey to recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in helping reduce the stress and uncertainty they’re facing.
Please consider donating and sharing this page to help us reach as many people as possible. Let’s show Mike just how much his kindness and support over the years have meant to us by being there for him now when he needs it the most.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can help Mike get back on his feet and back to being the incredible friend we all know and love.
I am a family friend of Mike and Meagan through Meagan's brother John - I was more than happy to help create this page.
The money raised will be spent on covering Mike's medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, that are not covered by ACC or the public health and providing financial support for his family's living and travel expenses during his extended recovery period.
Funds to be paid to Mike's wife Meagan.
Update on Mike 14 November 2024
Mike has settled in well to rehab, he is working hard everyday. He is eating meals, and drinking - finally getting to enjoy a cup of tea!
Mike isn’t walking yet but he’s working hard at physio therapy everyday strengthening his legs and his muscle control to get himself out of the wheel chair and on to a walking frame.
The medical team and his amazing support crew remain fully committed to getting Mike back on his feet asap. There is still a long road ahead but we are humbled by both Mikes own efforts and attitude and the commitment of his friends and family who ensure he has personal support, creature comforts and company every single day.
