The ECMO machine that Miller was on for 8 days is also a critical machine to support COVID-19. As the ECMO machine is a heart and lung bypass and allows the heart and lungs to rest while the body gets stronger. Starship only have 3 of these machines and the minimum time is 5 days on the ECMO machine. This scares me, we were one of the families that almost missed out.

Our New Zealand children need our help now, so that the care is there in the future x
