Help us Establish our own dedicated Motherhood Community Centre on the Hibiscus Coast

The Mums Clique strives to be The Ultimate Mothers Community in New Zealand. A registered Not-For-Profit Charity (Registration #CC56784) on a mission to “Support New Zealand Women through Motherhood”. The Mums Clique is run by Mums, for Mums.

We are looking to raise funds to help us to establish our first dedicated Mothers community space on the Hibiscus Coast. This space will be an open support centre for mothers and families in the community to access support, as well as running a variety of playgroups/coffee groups, education classes/groups covering everything from breastfeeding to practical cooking classes to hosting guest speakers covering all topics of motherhood and parenting. This space will have a warm homely feel, provide warm drinks and snacks for mother and baby and we will have free motherhood essential items for mothers in need to access (nappies, wipes, formula, toiletries etc).

To date we have run this space through council owned community spaces, unfortunately there is a lack of community space available and they do not allow us for growth. The numbers of mothers coming through are so large we have already outgrown 2 small community rooms available and with no further growth in these spaces as an option our next step is to find and secure our own dedicated space, in doing so we are also opening up another space available for other community groups to use at a reduced cost.

The funds raised will go directly towards the lease costs, setting up the space with appropriate furniture and items and helping us to continue to provide the support our mothers need including funding a maternal mental health specialist to offer free therapy to mothers at the centre.
