The Mums Clique

The Mums Clique strives to be The Ultimate Mothers Community in New Zealand. A registered Not-For-Profit Charity (Registration #CC56784) on a mission to “Support New Zealand Women through Motherhood”. The Mums Clique is run by Mums, for Mums.

Results from a recent survey we conducted showed that 74% of mothers have at some stage felt unsupported during their motherhood journey, and 76% of mothers stated they believe that they were not aware of the resources and support options that were available to them. Lastly 92% of mothers said if they could access a list of the resources available to them in one place then they would utilise this.

We send out free support hampers to mothers across New Zealand who are facing hardship in one way or another. These hampers are delivered or posted and are the start of our support services which then connect mothers to our resources guide as a stepping stone for where they can go to access the help they need. These support hampers are a box filled with goodies that send a message of love and support, welcoming them into our community. We have delivered these hampers all over New Zealand as well as to mothers with children in Starship Childrens hospital, and directly to plunket nurses and birthing centres to pass onto their mothers. We often take referrals from other healthcare professionals such as midwifes, counselors and psychologists, the maternal mental health team, plunket nurses or the NZ Police Family Harm team. Then there is our recently published free resources guide, an information packed 65 page + downloadable e-book helping you navigate the free support services available to you as a mother. Any aspect of navigating parenting you need help with, all in one place. As well as being loaded with important topics such as birth control options, first aid and CPR for children and babies, postpartum health and exercise, postpartum nutrition and more. This guide is regularly updated and the updates are emailed to every mother who has downloaded it automatically!

We have run many events across New Zealand including women's self defence courses, infant CPR/First aid courses, breastfeeding seminars, coffee groups, mums nights out and much more. We also have a Mothers Support Chat group on Facebook.

Our end goal is to create Motherhood Community Centres across New Zealand as a support space mothers and families can access to gain support, make new friends, learn new skills and seek help.

We need your help because if the mother is okay, getting the love and support she needs, then her children and family will be okay. So please help us to help them.
