My Bone Marrow Transplant Story

I received a Bone Marrow Transplant 10 08.18. and wish to thank Auckland Hospital Staff. I was admitted for 5 weeks during that time had aggressive Chemotherapy together with Anti Rejection and a host of other drugs. I am pleased to tell you "I survived" this harrowing treatment. After care is critical with a 3 times a week visit to Day Stay required to monitor bloods etc. I urgently need a car as I am too weak to catch a bus in any case this would be impossible as my immune system is compromised. My wife and myself lost our employment due to my ill health . Recently I also developed cancer of the nose this is now healing up nicely. Trips to the hospital are by bus now. This is still not great as winter colds are here and my immune is still not normal
