Native Forest at Risk

I live on a 1/4 of regenerating Native Forest in Central Auckland on which I have a animal sanctuary.

I care for many rescued wild, feral and elderly animals in my sanctuary who I cannot easily re-home.

The house and land was left by my mother to my sister, brother and myself.

My brother is taking me to court to evict me to sell the house and land to pay his debts

Selling the property will mean the death of the Forest and all the Birds living there including Tui, Piwakawaka and  Kereru.

Forest mitigates climate change by offsetting carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide emissions from animal agriculture and the burning of fossil fuels.

Forest also preserves and cycles water, produces oxygen, filters pollution and stabilises soils and is of greater value in an urban environment.

Included in our forest is a huge Puriri with a 6 metre girth and who is much taller than the house.

Would anyone be interested in supporting my appeal to save our Forest Sanctuary?

The court hearing will be in October or November ; before then i need to buy out my brother for $275,000 or i will be evicted.

I need to raise approximately $125,000 to make up that amount with what i am owed from my mother's estate.

Everyone who contributes to our appeal can join our "Save Our Forest" collective if they want to provide their email address.

If we collect enough to buy out my brother I will leave my share of the house and land, ie. 2/3 to that collective to preserve after my death.

If I do not raise sufficient funds to secure our sanctuary I will use any funds to care for and re-home the many animals in my care.
