Nepal Festival 2020 Auckland is organised by NZNS to introduce Nepalese culture to the larger NZ. See you on 4 April, Aotea Square.
Auckland
New Zealand Nepal Society (NZNS) is a non-profit community organisation based in Auckland. We organise community events that allow us to introduce Nepalese culture to the larger NZ. In addition to the community events, we equally encourage our younger generations to participate in several sports like badminton, soccer, etc.
The year 2020 is equally important to us as an organisation. Why? This is the year Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Civil Aviation Nepal dedicated to Visit Nepal with an objective of welcoming millions of tourists into Nepal. This is the year Nepal Festival which is the biggest biennial event on our calendar. The event is to be held on 4 APRIL 2020, at AOTEA SQUARE, AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND.
We had a successful Nepal festival in 2018 wherein we had amazing 9,000 + visitors and food and craft stalls with a dedicated Nepal house showcasing the diversity of Nepal.
This year we are aiming more food stalls selling delicious Nepal and Indian subcontinent cuisines, crafts, kids corner, and of course music and dance to entertain you all. The best part of the festival is FREE ENTRY and KIDS FRIENDLY.
With bigger festival like this comes a big cost which is why we sincerely request our members/supporters/well-wishers to help us with donations. Every donation counts.
With the patronage of Sir Edmund Hillary, the New Zealand Nepal Society (NZNS), an incorporated society, was established on 30 August 1995 in Auckland, New Zealand. We are supported by the voluntary services of its members and donors.
The funds donated by our kind-hearted members/supporters will be spent on organising festivals. We have already received 55% of the expected expenditure for the festival with the help of local councils, funding organisation, and few corporates.
