We have the opportunity to purchase the building we are currently in, the only way to do this will be by fundraising.
Bay of Plenty
Opotiki SPCA moved into 1 St John Street March 2014, its origin was a Church, a safe haven for meeting, praying and helping, since 2014 it has been used for a SPCA centre - centring the welfare of many kittens, cats, puppies and dogs.
Providing them with a safe haven, preparing them for another opportunity in life.
The opportunity has arisen to purchase the building and land. It has a beautiful large lawn where we have run puppies, created an outside pen for cats and propose some dog kennels to offer them shelter from welfare issues.
With high unemployment and a small population base, this creates difficulty in raising sufficient funds to purchase the building with our funds, so we appealing to the wider community and New Zealand to help us out.
I am on behalf of our SPCA Committee and community appealing for financial help, because I have the passion and commitment to see it through. My love, commitment and passion to see animals welfare at its best, to help provide them with a home while they heal from trauma or seeking a temporary home because they are lost. I am involved because I want to help animals.
Small Eastern Bay SPCA ~ advancing best practice welfare for all animals by preventing cruelty, caring for abused, sick and neglected companion pets. Promoting desexing as a solution to our over population problem.
