Help Micah fund his hip surgery and get him back on track to represent New Zealand in the Kyokushin Karate world championships.
Papakura, Auckland
My name is Micah and for the past 17 years I have dedicated my life to becoming one of the best Kyokushin karate fighters in New Zealand. It has been a difficult journey which started off with a lot of pain and disappointment but finally I have been able to reach a level where over the past 5 years I have become a multi time NZ Champion as well as and Australian champion and a New Zealand representative in the world championships in Japan. However just as all my hard work has started to pay off my body is giving out on me and I am left with my dreams of becoming the best in tatters.
The doctors have notified me that my hips are about 3 years away from needing a hip replacement due to something called an Femoroacetabular impingement also known as FAI or a hip impingement. Due to my dedication to training over the years this condition has caused significant damage to my hips and now my only opportunity to keep fighting for my dreams and to live a pain free life is a surgery that is going to cost $40,000 which unfortunately will not be covered by ACC as the damage has occurred over a long period of time rather than from a single accident.
I am hoping that with your support I can get back on track and work towards making New Zealand proud as I take on the world.
All money will be used to pay for Micah's surgery which will cost $40,000

Hello everyone.
Again I want to thank everyone for you kind support. Everything we have raised has gone a long way to making this surgery a little more affordable.
Just an update on my surgeries for all that are interested. I had my first surgery on December the 15th and it was a successfull one. My right hip is well on its way to recovery. Yesterday which was the 15th of February I had my the surgery for my left hip which was also a successful one. The specialist is very optomistic thst I will be back in time for the world championships in November this year better than ever.
In the meantime I hope I get to see all of you around at the tournament, at training or just out and about. Don't be afraid to hello and have a chat to me about all my procedures
