Life is too short for regret - help me get to the World Champs Obstacle Course Race.
Glenfield, Auckland
To make this a reality, I need your help! When I celebrated my 40th birthday last year, I promised myself that I would find a way to make dreams a reality - stop being scared of failure. Life is too short for regret.
I have qualified for the World Champs, and your contributions will help fund travel expenses, race entries and accommodation. To represent New Zealand, my home of 5 years, is something extra special as the race coincides with the year that I gain Kiwi citizenship.
A little about me: I live in Auckland, work full time, I am a wife, a mother to 2 busy sporting boys, and train 6 days a week, come rain or shine (and we know there is a lot of Winter rain coming), with a lot of the running done with my crazy dog, Lexi. Training includes strength work, trail running, road running, bouldering, HIT workouts, stretching, speed work and more.
Fitness, strength and preparation is not the barrier to this goal. Funding is (and perhaps the visa)!
Every donation brings me one step closer. Thank you for reading to the end :)

3 days, 4 races!! 8 October 2024
And that's a wrap on a brutally tough, but good weekend. On the journey home, feeling somewhat broken.
15km summary (actually 17km):
The altitude broke my lungs, the mountains broke my legs, the obstacles broke my arms, but nothing broke my spirit. I held onto my 100% obstacle completion band for 16km...but Dropzone claimed it! Gave it a good effort, with multiple tries, but just didn't have enough left in me to get to the end of that one.
17km, 850m ascent (from a base of about 2500m above sea level)...once again, humbling!
To put the difficulty into perspective, Only 4 ladies in my age group completed the course with 100% obstacle completion.
Team races was fun. A few errors early in the race meant we were out of the competition, so we used the opportunity to have fun and practice some of the tricky obstacles while we finished.
Thank you to everyone who helped get me to the start line (actually 4 start lines). I cannot express my gratitude enough.
Next...home, recovery and reflection!!
Thank you so much my friend.xx
Thank you Vijay, for all that you do and all that you are to me.
