Help fill Paige's life with the people she needs to see the most!

Megan and Chris Hennessy and their little family have had their life turned upside down in a matter of weeks. Their two year old daughter Paige, woke from a nap where Megan found she had lost movement in her right arm and leg temporarily. They rushed Paige to the doctor where they went through potential causes and then they quickly arranged a CT scan which revealed a very large and very clear Tumor in the middle of Paige's brain on the top of her brain stem. Within two days she was flown to Starship Children's hospital from Palmerston North to sort a biopsy to see what they were actually dealing with. Megan and Chris and Paige were preparing to fight with whatever they could when the results came back with the worst news possible.

Paige has been diagnosed with an Embryonal Tumor with Multilayered Rosettes (ETMR). It is rare, the surgeon has only come across one before and from what the family has read, there have only been 300 reported cases (assuming world wide). It is one of the most aggressive brain tumors you can have and it's located in an area of her brain that they just can't get to. The Hennessy's have had to hear that there is nothing that can be done for Paige and they have been given a time frame of around twelve months. They are trying to wrap their heads around this and also trying to maintain some strength in front of Paige and her four year old sister Caitlin.

The goal of this page is to make sure that her family is able to spend these crucial months forming precious memories and making sure that Paige is living the best life that she can. Both Megan and Chris were working and our ideal goal is being able to support them financially during this time so that they can focus on what Paige needs.
