Help the Otaki Market raise funds for much needed Marquees

$1,000 goal

Started 2 years ago

A local craft market run by the Otaki Women's Community Club, giving 100% of the funds back to the community.

Otaki, Wellington

We are fundraising to purchase some much needed marquees for the Otaki Market. These will be used to create shade in summer months (helping us become a sun safe market) and to keep off a light rain in the colder days. The marquees will be used for:

- The seating area

- World famous charity sausage sizzle

- Hire stall holders who need them ($10), helping raise more funds back into the community.

The Otaki Market is the longest running market on the Kapiti Coast, and has stall holders from across the region. It's become an iconic part of the community. The Market is managed by The Otaki Women's Community Club, a charity, which gives 100% of the proceeds from market back into the local community; including Arohanui Hospice, St John Health Shuttle, Rescue Helicopter, the Cancer Society, Otaki Food Bank, school groups and individuals and scholarships to Otaki College. www.otakiwomensclub.org

Every Sunday (during the summer and fortnightly in the winter) we have a local craft market in Otaki, and once a month we have a theme. www.otakiwomensclub.org/otakimarket

Did you know: Every school holidays we also run a Children's Market, where kids get to be the stall holders. Aged from 5 to 19 years old. www.otakiwomensclub.org/kidsmarket
