OUR DADDIO

As u may or may not know our daddio- Tommy- Pumpkin suffered 2 severe strokes over a week ago and it has obviously been tough on us as a family, physically emotionally and financially.

He has defied the odds and made it this far through nothing more then faith love family and karakia! Drs preprared us daily to expect the worst outcome and to be fair to them and dad although very hard for us to accept we did prepare ourselves for the first. But if anyone could defy the odds it would be dad. He is still very weak and critical and could have a fatal turn at any time but we are opimistic and planning for his future outcome on a positive note.

Dad is a very private and proud man so he will choke us if he knew this page was set up but he is our world and our backbone there is no way we want to leave his side.

Tauranga Hospital has been amazing at accommodating ALL our whanau and visiotrs from ICU to here in the Acute ward. Even when there was over 25 of us to find beds for including our 86 year old grandmother (who held bed vigill by our dads side)they made sure we were comfortable. Extensive rehabilitation is on the cards before we can get him home though.

This page has been set up to help care for our hero, our world, our daddio and to get him home surrounded by his mokos and his animals. Hahaha
